2742 | Report of Claude Francois Bichet & Family -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: WILLIAM J BICHE [mailto:wjbiche@verizon.net] Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2005 2:34 PM To: Kelly, Paul-"Bichet" Cc: Biche, Mark -office Subject: Bichet Paul, Thanks for the very interesting info about CFB. The Report I referred to, from the Town of Wilna, was from my father's files. It is not in great shape so I'll send you a copy by regular mail. I'll also send you a copy of the document I have regarding CFB's intention to become a citizen to see if it's the same document you have. It was also in my father's things. I have nothing regarding CFB's wife Jean Marie. All I have is her name in the first report, the one from the Town of Wilna. As you probably know, the Town of Wilna has been a part of Fort (Camp) Drum since the early '40's or maybe before. All I have on Susan is from a headstone in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Evans Mills. It's difficult to read. I think it says: SUSAN wife of Francis Becha (spelling) former wife of Peter Croissani died Jan 14, 1885 79yrs 10 mo Susan was born in 1804. CFB was born in 1786 so Susan was only about 18 years younger so it's possible they could have married at least from an age stand point. There is a headstone in the Evans Mills Cemetery marked: FRANCIS C. BICHET (this no doubt Claude Fran

2748 | response from Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church This is a copy of the notes taken by Fr. Bernard Jakubco of St. Mary's Parish, Evans Mills, NY. I had called him on 12/16/05 and spoke with him requesting a baptism record for Mary Bichet and a marriage record for Ferdinand Bichet and Anna Fitzpatrick. Since he could find no record of either event at St. Mary's parish in Evans Mills, he forwarded the notes (he had taken during our conversation) to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Watertown, NY. They responded with the above and a copy of a portion of a page from an old record book.
