      FORMER MOTORMAN IN WATERTOWN DIES, AGED 69

      WAS SITTING IN HIS STORE

      Complains of Dizziness And Wife Reaches His Side Just As He Passes Away.

      Redwood, April 1, - Ignatius Reff, aged 69 years, a former motorman for the Black River Traction company in Watertown, died suddenly in his store in Main street yesterday morning. He had opened his store as usual and was sitting at the window when about 8:45 he complained of dizziness. His wife reached him just as he expired. Death was due to heart failure.
      Mr. Reff was born at Cape Vincent on June 30, 1853, the son of Peter and Delia Reff. He married Emma J. Bidwell of Wisconsin on July 4, 1860. They worked on farms in the neighborhood of Cape Vincent until ______ when they moved to Watertown and Mr. Reff worked as a motorman for the Black River Traction Company. In 1906 they moved to the Canadian northwest, returning to this country in 1920. Last fall Mr. Reff opened a grocery store in Redwood.
      Surviving him are his widow and six children, Mrs. John Sears of Canada, Mrs. Dep Foster and Alfred Reff of Rochester, George Reff and Miss Catherine Reff of Redwood.
      The funeral will be held from St. Francis Xavier Catholic church, of which Mr. Reff was a member, on Tuesday morning, at 9:30, Rev. Father T. Owen, officiating. Burial will be made in Redwood cemetery.

      Former Watertown Motorman Stricken Unexpectedly Friday.

      REDWOOD, April 2. - Ignatuis Reff died suddenly at his store in Main street Friday Morning. Mr. Reff was born at Cape Vincent on June 30, 1853, and was the son of Peter and Delia Reff. He was married to Emma J. Bidwell of Wisconsin on July 4, 1869. They worked on farms in the neighborhood of Cape Vincent until 1889 when they moved to Watertown and Mr. Reff worked as motorman for the Black River Tranction Company. In 1906 they moved to the Canadian Northwest, returing to this country in 1920. Last fall Mr. Reff opened a grocery store in Redwood. He had opened his store as usual Friday morning and was sitting at the window when about 8:45 he complained of dizziness. His wife just reached him as he expired. Death was due to heart failure. Surviving him are his wife and six children: Mrs. R. T. Porter of Rochester; Mrs. John Sears of Canada; Mrs. Del Foster and Alfred Reff of Rochester; George Reff and Miss Catherine Reff of Redwood. Funersl will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic church of which Mr. Reff was a member, on Tuesday at 9:30 a. m., the Rev. Father T. Owen officiating. Burial will be made in Redwood cemetery.
