In the presence of the council of the municipal committee for public
assistance:
Johannes Webert, unmarried, a citizen and master weaver from here requests
and states:
I want to marry Barbara Pfister, unmarried, from Grossthal.
Reasons:
1. I am released from military duty and am a citizen and master weaver here;
2. I am responsible for the care of my father, and, because my mother is
deceased, I need an assistant in the conduct of my trade.
3. I will immediately receive in money and property 329 gulden, per the
attached(?) tax letter B, from my betrothed. Accordingly, I request that the
necessary certificates for my intention be issued and given to me.
Certificate/testimonial:
1. The petitioner Johann Webert is an actual citizen and master weaver here
and has his Certificate of Discharge ....
