6. Sarah Steede was the eldest surviving daughter of Dr Richard Steede and Charlotte Chavasse, William's sister. Born in 1797 at Winterbourne, Glos., she married in 1821 the Reverend John Sargeaunt (1799-1858), Rector of Stanwick, Northants. She had eleven children and died at Stanwick in 1857.

From 19 June 1795, her married name became Steede.
