Comments: Please note that in your statements about The Revd. John Sargeaunt and Miss Sarah Steede you have them at Stanwick, Yorkshire. I do assure you as one who lives in Stanwick that it is in NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, where John Sargeaunt was Rector of our church of St Laurence. He was Vicar at nearby Great Doddington and came to Stanwick in 1837 and died here in 1858. Sarah died here in 1857. There is a Stanwick in Yorkshire, but you will find documentary evidence that they lived in our Queen Rectory here in Northamptonshire. The 1841 and 1851 census will confirm this. Please check and alter your database. I have been researching the Sargeaunt family here in Northamptonshire as there were 11 children in the Rectory in 1841. He built our Old School in 1839 here, and I have recently been involved in the Church Council in selling it to become a Post Office, shop and Bistro.

Charlotte Chavasse was born on 25 January 1773.1 She was the daughter of William Chavasse and Sarah Stephens.2 She married Richard Steede on 19 June 1795.1 She died on 10 June 1839 at age 66.1
From 19 June 1795, her married name became Steede.

Richard Steede married Charlotte Chavasse, daughter of William Chavasse and Sarah Stephens, on 19 June 1795.1 He died in 1802, off the Cape.1
He was a surgeon.1 He had three daughters.1
