Dear Mr. Kelly,
This email is in response to your inquiry regarding the ship Charles.
Yes, the ship was built in 1829 in Bath, Maine, by W.G. Farrin and owned by Jas. H. McLellan. This information is found in the book A Maritime History of Bath, Maine and the Kennebec River Region by William Avery Baker.
There are no photographs of the ship Charles in our collection. Perhaps there may be paintings or drawings of the ship but again, we do not have in our collection.
As to your question pertaining to the amount of trips made by Charles to and from Havre, France, this question is still being researched. The research assistant or I will contact you soon in regards to this matter.
I hope the information thus far is helpful to you.
Thank you for contacting the Maine Maritime Museum.

Subject: Ship Charles
Dear Mr. Kelly,
This email is in response to your inquiry regarding the ship Charles.

ROCHESTER TOURING PARTY WILL VISIT CAPE VINCENT SECTION.
A Rochester touring party, en route to Cape Vincent and the Thousand Islands to visit the early home of their parents, were registered at the Crowner house Sunday and today, leaving this afternoon in two automobiles for Cape Vincent. The party included Mrs. George Fraley, Edward Fraley, Miss O. Fraley, Mr. and Mrs. G. Fraley, Mr. and Mrs. R. Nunn, Miss E. Nunn and Miss L. Nunn, descendants of Jacob Frlaey, one of the early settlers in Cape Vincent. The elder Fraley came to Jefferson county by ox team from Albany in 1834 to what was then known as French settlement, and entered the employ of the LeRays, for whom he worked for many years. George W. Fraley was born at Rosiere, only a short distance from the birthplace of her husband, but by a strange circumstance they did not meet until the were both residents of Rochester. The party will be the guests while at Cape Vincent of Peter Fraley, an uncle of the Fraleys.

Subject: Ship Charles
Dear Mr. Kelly,
This email is in response to your inquiry regarding the ship Charles.
