Clayton Woman Succumbs At 74
Mrs. Grace Fraley Had Been Ill For 20 Years - Funeral on Monday.
Clayton, July 23 - Mrs. Grace Fraley, 74, of 330 James Street, widow of Milfred P. Fraley, died Friday night at the Edward John Noble hospital, Alexandria Bay. She had been in poor health 20 years, and following a stroke, was admitted July 2 to Edward John Noble hospital, where she was a patient until her death.
The funeral will be Monday afternoon at 2 at the Cummings funeral home, Clayton, with Rev. Russell E. Little, pastor of Clayton Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Clayton cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening 7 to 9 and tomorrow afternoon 3 to 5 and evening 7 to 9.
Mrs. Fraley is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Minnie) Byrne, Oswego and Mrs. George (Henrietta) Brown, Syracuse; three step-daughters, Mrs. Frank (Monica) Down, Los Angeles, Calif; Sister Mildreda (Vera) of St. Laurent Convent, and Mrs. Harold J. (Frances) Ferguson, Clayton; a foster brother, Robert Wicks, Clayton Center; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mr. Fraley died Oct. 2, 1956.
She was born Oct. 11, 1885, in the Town of Clayton, a daughter of Willard and Minnie Heath Joles. She attended local schools. She was married March 21, 1906 to Fred Churco, who died Oct. 9, 1929. On July 25, 1931, she was married to Mr. Fraley in St. Mary's Church, Clayton.
Mrs. Fraley was a member of the Clayton Methodist church and its W.S.C.S and D.D. class.
