Cape Vincent, Oct. 20 (1959 is written in handwriting) -
Francis (Frank) Fraley, 82, retired farmer, died at 11 last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oliver J. Nichols, Murray Street, where he lived. He had suffered from a heart condition.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m., Thursday at the Nichols home and at 10 at the St. Vincent de Paul church, Rev Patrick B. Riley, pastor officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul cemetery.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Joseph (Genevieve) Price, Cape Vincent; Edward Fraley, Cleveland, O.; Mrs. Samuel (Helen) Phillips, Berea, O., and Mrs. Oliver J. (Edna Mae) Nichols; two brothers, Christopher, Evans Mills, and Clarence, Hightstown, N.J.; a sister, Mrs Ray (Mae) Constance, Rosiere; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fraley was born in the town of Cape Vincent May 8, 1877, son of Peter and Julia Adams Fraley. He was educated in the schools of the town and was engaged in farming most of his life.
He married Miss Genevieve Stumph of Rosiere on June 18, 1902, with Rev Damare Guibalt, pastor, performing the ceremony in St. Vincent de Paul church, Rosiere. They lived on farms in that area for some years, spent 18 years on the Fraley homestead farm, Mill Road, and retired in 1940 and moved to this village. Mrs. Fraley died June 12, 1949. Mr. Fraley had lived with his daughter the past 17 years.
