Michael Reff, 81, Dies Near Rosiere

Michael Reff, 81, lifelong resident of the town of Cape Vincent, dies at his farm at Burn Rock at 9:00 o'clock Friday evening. Daeth was due to infirmities of old age and heart trouble. Mr Reff had been confined to his bed for a year.
He was born on June 22, 1857, in Rosiere, a son of Michael and Catherine Constance Reff, who emigrated to this country from Germany and settled in Rosiere.
Mr. Reff married Miss Amelia Mussot at Rosiere on February 26, 1884. She survives.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul church, Rosiere, and a member of the Three Mile Bay Grange, No. 146.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Cornaire, of St. Lawrence, and the Misses Leona and Florence Reff, who reside at home; one son, Charles Reff, Clayton, ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at home at 8:15 a.m. Monday with Rev. M. J. Kelley, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul's church, Rosiere, officiating. Services followed at the church at 9:00 a.m., with burial in the family plot in the Rosiere cemetery.
