This is Largest in History of National Capital.
The District's annual tax sale, just completed by Ben L. Prince, collecto of taxes, netted $150,000, making it the largest in the history of the National Capital, according to announcement made yesterday at the District Building.
Parcel sof real estate numbering 5,420 were disposed of at the sale. Charles H. Wiltsie, of Rochester, N.Y., was the largest purchaser, investing $124,000. John Faust, of Cleveland, bought $12,000 worth of property, and the third highest purchaser was T. J. Rout, of this city, who spent $8,000. the sale included parcels of land on which taxes for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1914, had not been paid.

District Tax Sale Ends
Real estate worth $300,000 Sold for Non-Payment.
The annual tax sale ended today.
During the last week real estate valued at approximately $300,000 has been sold for non-payment of taxes and special assessments. The three principal buyers were John Faust, of Rochester, N.Y., and T. J. Rout, of Philadelphia. At the close of yesterday's sale Mr. Faust's purchases amounted to $102,000, Mr. Wiltsie's to $83,000, and Mr. Rout's to $20,000. Property valued at between $60,000 and $75,000, on which no bids were offered, was bought by the District.
Owners may redeem their proerty at any time within two years from today, upon payment to the purchaser of the purchase price, with interest at the rate of 12 percent a year.
