Text | Lafargeville - John J. Webert, 80, Schenectady, formerly of East Line Road, died Monday afternoon at St. Clare's Hospital, Schenectady, after a short illness. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Frederick Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Nay, United Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by two nieces, Audrey Fairman, Schenectady, and Marguerite Augustus, Watertown, a nephew, Maurice Daily, LaFargeville, and several cousins. He was born July 29, 1899, in the Town of Orleans, son of the late John and Mary Herbrecht Webert. He was educated in Omar schools. He married Florence Daily, who died March 29, 1978. He lived with his neice in Schenectady after his wife's death. He worked for a time at Hutchinson's Boat Works, Alexandria Bay, and for 19 years was a punch press operator for Frink Sno-Plows, Clayton, retireing in 1962. | |
