Text | THERESA- Mrs. Fern R. Webert, 77, formerly of Omar, widow of Phillip Webert, died Wednesday evening at 9:15 at Mercy Hospital, Watertown, where she had been a patient in failing health since January. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Frederick Brothers Funeral Home, Theresa, with Rev. Albert Cameron of the Philadelphia Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville. Calling hours will be Friday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. She is survived by a son, Raymond Petrie, Philadelphia; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Lunderman and Mrs. Bernard (Jessie) O'Hare, both of Watertown, and Mrs. Charles (Eva) Poy, Pompano, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Brian (Susie) Kinnie, and Mrs. Wesley (Ruth) Spaulding, both of Gouvernour; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister died previously. She was born March 7, 1902, one of seven children of the late William R. and Hattie Raven, in the Town of Fowler. She was educated in rural schools. She married Harry Petrie Oct. 14, 1920, in Natural Dam. The couple spent their early life there before moving to the Watertown rural area. Mr. Petrie was employed by the F. A.Empsall Co., in Watertown. He died in 1960. She married Phillip Webert, native of Stone Mills, Oct. 8, 1962. The couple made their home in Omar. Mr. Webert died in 1967. Mrs. Webert remained a resident of Omar until her hospitalization. | |
