Text | 3684 John Fitzpatrick Filed Oct. 11, 1864 State of New York I John Fitzpatrick do declare on oath, that it is bona fide my intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Queen Victoria of whom I am a subject. Subscribed and sworn before me John Fitzpatrick this 24th day of November 1856 M. J. Connelly, Dep. Clerk In the matter of John Fitzpatrick on his Naturalization. State of New York, Jefferson County, ss. John Fitzpatrick being duly sworn, says, that for the continued term of five years last past, he has resided within the United States, without permanently departing the same during the said term; and that for one year, last past, he has resided within the State of New York; that it has been his intention to become a Citizen of the United States, and to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Power. John Fitzpatrick SWORN IN OPEN COURT this 11 day of October, 1864 D. Wilder, Clk State of New York, Jefferson County, ss. Henry Cunningham and Lewis Palmer of the county aforesaid, being severally sworn, depose and say, that we are Citizens of the United States, and have been acquainted with John Fitzpatrick for more than five years last passed; that said John Fitzpatrick has resided in the United States for more than five years last past, and within the State of New York Five years; that he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Lewis Palmer Henry Cunningham SWORN IN OPEN COURT this 11 day of October, 1864 D. Wilder, Clk State of New York, Jefferson County, ss. I, John Fitzpatrick do swear, that I will support the Constitution of the United States of America and that I do absolutely & entirely renounce & abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Power, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatsoever and particularly to the Queen Victoria whose subject I was.
